WELCOME TO THE FARM
My Story

I never planned to become a flower farmer. I grew up on a farm but left for college, thinking I was leaving that life behind. Years later, after raising my family, I returned to school to finish my degree while working full-time. It was a hectic, stressful time, and on a whim, I planted a few flowers in my front yard. One small flower bed turned into two, then into an entire cottage garden—a place that became my sanctuary.
I started bringing flowers inside, then sharing them with friends and neighbors. The more I grew, the more I wanted to learn. I dove in completely—reading blogs, watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts—soaking up everything I could about growing flowers from seed. Before I knew it, I was spending more time learning about flowers than studying for my econ classes. By the time I graduated a year and a half later, I knew—I had to become a flower farmer. And so I did.
Now, I grow flowers not just because they’re beautiful, but because they mean something. They bring joy, offer comfort, and remind us to slow down and savor the moment. Sometimes, a handful of blooms is more than just a bouquet—it’s a bright spot in someone’s day, a way to say, “I see you,” or a small reminder that beauty is always within reach.
I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to V+B.
